2-Step Dog Kit for Brighter Eyes
The Eye Envy Tear Stain Remover Starter Kit for Dogs contains a two-step removal system to help remove unsightly tear stains. Both the Tear Stain Remover Solution (TSRS) and Tear Stain Remover Powder (TSRP) feature a combination of natural ingredients that effectively break down the source of the buildup. Externally applied, this safe, non-irritating, and effective cleanser removes unsightly tear stains and inhibits dark staining.
Step one is the application of the solution, which cleans the affected area. This unique dog tear stain remover uses a natural astringent to close the hair shaft. It also includes a broad-spectrum natural cleanser known for its purifying properties. This key mineral helps control and manage the accumulation of impurities that lead to unsightly, smelly tear stains.
Use the Pads to help remove tear stains on dogs by cleaning the area gently. The included application pads have a waffle-like texture to gently exfoliate the area, so the liquid penetrates deeper. There are no lint particles or loose fuzz on the pads to irritate the eyes. Unlike cotton rounds or balls, they do not soak up and absorb the liquid. That means less waste and more effective dog tear stain remover applications.
Step two is the application of the Stain Powder, which contains a mild cleanser and natural active ingredients to inhibit the recurrence of stains. It also absorbs excess moisture and helps to repel new tears. It is NOT a chalk or cover-up, but a natural silk-like powder that safely keeps the area around your pet's eye dry and stain-free.
Rhe Solution and Stain Powder are topically applied and NOT ingested. They do not contain bleach, peroxide, whitening agents, or harsh chemicals. They also do not contain macrolide antibiotics (such as tylosin), which, with continued use, may be harmful to the liver and build up antibiotic resistance.
Breeds usually affected by tear stains are Maltese, Shih Tzu, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Havanese, Bichon, Poodle, Samoyed, Pekingese, Pomeranians, Pugs, Bulldogs, and other white/light-colored breeds.
Did you know?
Excessive tearing can be caused by many variables, including food, the mineral content of water, allergies, sickness, clogged tear ducts, teething, and even fleas.
Just like humans, it's normal for your dog's eyes to stay moistened with tears; however, your dog's tears collect in the fur surrounding the eyes, and the area becomes a breeding ground for stain-causing accumulation. Tears can also deposit minerals onto the fur, which leave deep reddish-brown stains. Left unmanaged, it can lead to itchy irritation and discomfort. While other products may mask the problem, the Solution and Stain Powder target the source.
How to Use
Saturate the application pad with the solution and gently remove the debris from each eye, turning over the pad when switching from one eye to the other
Then work in until the area is dry.
Using a fingertip or brush gently apply powder to stained area.
Use small strokes or small circular motions to blend product evenly. For best results, apply powder against the direction of hair growth. Allow to dry and absorb naturally.
Repeat daily until stains disappear – typically 7 days. For maintenance apply weekly to prevent reoccurrence.
